[Your Name Here] [Date] Dear Zalando officials, I'm sending this letter in protest of the discrimination and abuse of power that have come to light in the recent months as Zalando cracks down on employees standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people. We demand justice and accountability for this racist targeting of Zalando´s own employees exercising their basic rights. Zalando weaponizes the deeply antisemitic conflation of the apartheid state of Israel with the religion of Judaism as a false justification for their repression of Palestine solidarity. Their exploitation of this racist fetishization of Jews is nothing less than an instrumentalized propagandic mechanism to violate freedom of expression and crush political dissent to a live-streamed Holocaust being carried out with German funding and support. We respond to this with a clear condemnation of the company’s dangerous, racist and hostile behavior. Zionism is an ideology, not a people. Furthermore, per universal standards of human morality and international law, everyone has the obligation to reject, speak out against, and fight the war crimes perpetrated by the Israeli government, and the attempted extermination of the Palestinian people. Zalando’s current action places it firmly on the side of the perpetrator of these crimes against humanity. We demand the immediate following actions: 1. An acknowledgement of the problem and a tangible commitment to its resolution by the management board. 2. An immediate halt to any persecution of employees displaying Palestine solidarity symbols or engaging in pro-Palestine activism. 3. A transparent process to fundamentally overhaul and dismantle the toxic, fear-based hierarchical culture that allows discrimination and repression to flourish. 4. Reparations for those harmed—including reinstatement, compensation, and support for employees unjustly disciplined or dismissed because of their political beliefs or cultural expression. 5. Accountability for those responsible—from the senior management to any managers or HR personnel whose actions have contributed to perpetuating this culture of fear and repression. Your company's moral integrity is on the line. If Zalando truly values respect, human rights, and dignity, it will listen, reflect, and act accordingly—to confront its complicity in perpetuating a racist and genocidal dynamic and to finally stand on the side of justice and human rights.
